Burley Idaho Temple

The Burley Temple, my 72nd Temple

The Burley, Idaho Temple was dedicated on January 11, 2026.  My daughter and I visited the temple a week later.  The temple is located at 40 South 150 East in Burley.  Its google maps location is here:  Burley Idaho Temple  It was the 212th operating temple.  

My favorite thing about the Burley Temple is the tall mirrors in the celestial room on either side of the room.  If you sit on the edge of the green couch at the far end of the room, you can see the beautiful chandelier going on forever in the mirrors.  On the outside, the temple is shaped very similarly to the Syracuse Utah Temple.  It has jewels in the windows like the Deseret Peak Temple.  The interior of the temple reminds me of the Casper Wyoming Temple because of the sage green color.  

Burley is about an hour and fifteen minutes away from Pocatello, Idaho, and Interstate 15.  It is about 45 minutes from Twin Falls, Idaho, off highway 84.  It is not located in a place that you would likely pass through it while going somewhere else.  You would probably need to be choosing to travel to Burley in order to visit there.  The temple was very busy with people when we visited, which I was grateful to see.
