Temple Trips: Las Vegas Nevada Temple

All my life I have loved temples! I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. When I was a little girl and too young to go inside the temple, whenever we went on a family trip that was near a temple, I persuaded my parents to take a detour so that I could touch the temple. I have a goal to attend all of the temples in the United States. So far I have been to 60 temples, including four international ones. I have so many more that I want to visit! This blog is about my visits to the temples, as well as the activities that I did in the area where I was attending the temple. The Las Vegas Temple was my eighth temple. James and I went there with my parents when we drove to California to tour his mission in San Diego. I was pregnant with Cameron at the time. We went back to Las Vegas in 1998 and didn't attend the temple because we had our two sons with us, but I did take the boys to see the temple while James was in his business meetings. Then James and I went back to attend the temple in 2011. The thing I enjoy the most about the Las Vegas temple is the vast difference in feeling between the temple and the Strip. It is such a refuge from the storm. The temple is located at 827 Temple View Drive. It was dedicated in 1989.
