Mesa Arizona Temple
| My 22nd Temple |
| My family at the temple, 2011 |
I went back to the Mesa Temple in February of 2026 and brought my daughter Lizzie with me. My very favorite thing about the Mesa Temple is the carvings along the top of the exterior of the temple. They are carvings of pioneers and of Native Americans. There are also beautiful murals inside the temple, also of Native Americans being taught the gospel. The hallways inside the temple are beautiful, with some of the beatitudes written above the doorways, such as Blessed are the Pure in Heart, for they will see God. The grounds of the temple are also beautiful, with walkways lined with flowers, and a beautiful reflecting pool behind the temple, which reminds me of the Meridian, Idaho Temple. My daughter and I enjoyed walking around the grounds and enjoying the beauty and the sunshine on our faces.
The temple is located at 101 S. LeSuer in Mesa. Its google maps location is here: Mesa Arizona Temple The temple was first dedicated in 1927, and then was rededicated in 1975. It was closed again for renovations and dedicated a third time in 2021. Of the three temples in the area, Gilbert is perhaps the most beautiful temple, but Mesa is very close in beauty and also has a historic feel to it that I love.
