The Birmingham Alabama Temple, my 67th temple

The Birmingham Alabama Temple is located at 1927 Mount Olive Blvd in Gardendale, Alabama.  Its google maps location is Birmingham Alabama Temple

The temple was dedicated in 2000.  It is a smaller temple, with 2 endowment rooms and 2 sealing rooms.  The workers were very kind to us.  My favorite thing about this temple is the oak leaf hyacinth flower throughout it.  It is about 2 1/2 hours away from the Atlanta Temple.

We attended the temple in November of 2024.  We were staying in Georgia and wanted to visit the Alabama temple as well.  We also went to see the Natural Bridge in Alabama, which is about one hour away from the Alabama temple.  We ate at the Waffle House nearby.

Alabama Natural Bridge

When driving down Highway 278 you can't miss this large sign telling you where to turn for the natural bridge

The trail is very easy to follow

We were specifically told not to go on top of the bridge, and I'm not even sure how you would get up there.  But it does appear to be very fragile, so it might fall if someone were to go on top of it.

We were there on a rainy day when it was slippery, but there are hand rails to keep people safe
